Bilt Rewards Relaunched – Tier Status Enhanced, Opportunities Danced

Two years after its inception, in 2024, Bilt Rewards plans to relaunch its special program with improved member perks and additional opportunities to advance in status.

Bilt Rewards is a free travel rewards program where you earn points by paying rent with no fees. Just use the Bilt Mastercard for at least 5 transactions in a statement period. Then, you start earning points on rent and other purchases. Get 1 point for every $1 spent on rent, up to 100,000 points per year. Earn 2 points for every $1 on travel and 3 points for every $1 on dining. On “Rent Day” (the first day of each month), you get extra points on all non-rent spending.

How It Works

Next year, there will be two different ways to qualify for elite status on Bilt, making it more flexible and rewarding.

  1. Bilt Points Earned:
    • Members are still able to achieve status by collecting Bilt Points. Thresholds have been modified to account for the new methods of earning points—such as collaborations with Lyft and the Bilt Dining program.
  2. Fast-Track with Spend:
    • You can now use any linked debit or credit card to expedite your elite status by making eligible purchases (rent excluded). This covers all purchases made with the Bilt Mastercard as well as those made through the Bilt Dining, Lyft ridesharing, and Bilt Travel Portal.

New Status Tiers for 2024 Vs Old

Currently, there are four different levels in Bilt, each with its own benefits:

  1. Blue: For those with under 25,000 points.
  2. Silver: Earned at 25,000 points.
  3. Gold: Achieved at 50,000 points.
  4. Platinum: Earned at 100,000 points.

The new status tiers for 2024 are as follows:

  • Silver: Earned with 50,000 points or $10,000 of eligible spending
  • Gold: Earned with 125,000 points or $25,000 of eligible spending
  • Platinum: Earned with 200,000 points or $50,000 of eligible spending

Important Stuff to Know

  • Introduction of alternative pathways for achieving elite status.
  • Enhanced benefits for each status tier, including exclusive transfer bonuses and priority event access.
  • Members unlock special rewards every 25,000 Bilt Points, offering additional perks such as accelerator earn opportunities and points towards the Bilt Collection.
  • Members retain their current status until the end of 2024, unless they progress to a higher tier.
  • The changes to the program will take effect on January 1, 2024.
  • The revamped program will also offer more tier-based benefits.
  • New benefits announcement coming soon.

In a Nutshell

In 2024, Bilt Rewards is relaunching its program with better perks and more ways to level up after two years. With Bilt Rewards, a free travel program, you earn points by paying rent with no fees. Use the Bilt Mastercard to make at least 5 transactions in a statement period. You’ll earn points for rent and other purchases, like 2 points for every $1 on travel and 3 points for every $1 on dining. From the next year onward, you can become elite in two ways: by earning Bilt Points or by fast-tracking with spending on any linked debit or credit card (excluding rent). The 2024 status tiers have higher thresholds, bringing more benefits. These changes take effect on January 1, 2024, offering increased flexibility and rewards to the program.
